It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that our dear colleague and friend, Tillmann Klein, sadly passed away Friday, June 17th 2023.
Tillmann Klein has been a front-runner in open-access publishing when, together with Ulrich Knaack, launched JFDE in 2013. The editorial team is most grateful for its outstanding contribution to making JFDE a reference point in the façade design and engineering field.
It is a great loss for our scientific community.
